It’s way past my bedtime!

Well, everything is progressing nicely. We are finally going to be getting R’s room painted, and put together. I can’t wait! Adrienne (my bestfriend) offered to come over and help a bit with some stuff that I might need done. So, she might come and help me move my things off my desk here, and let the boys (Marty and Chuck) do the manual labour. *grin*

I was at my Dad’s for the last few days, and last night I had the most weirdest experience. I was in extreme pain, and I was groaning and walking around trying to make it feel better. I had pain underneath my legs, up my back, around my sides. I had more braxton hicks contractions in a row than I could count - it felt like one big one! I was thinking, “Oh god, this is it, this is it! I’m in Bobcaygeon, and everything is in Whitby!!!” But, I ended up just using the washroom, popping some tums, and tried to relax and get some sleep. It worked, but I woke up again around 6:00am and just slept on the couch sitting up-right.  I felt better, but the BH contractions still kept coming.

Right now, they aren’t so bad. I’m dreading sharing a bed with Chuck, because I was so used to sleeping in the middle of the bed at my Dad’s place. I strategically placed all my pillows (yeah, all 7 of them) how I need them, and hopefully I can get a half-decent sleep tonight. My friends on facebook are all asking me how I’m doing, because I hadn’t been online for a few days, while at my Dad’s. They all assumed I popped!

Hmmm, so, I see the baby doctor on August 6th, and then again on August 11th. Maybe on the 6th, they’ll decide to induce me, so I can have an 8-8-8 baby. Hmmm? I honestly think R will be a really long, tall baby. She likes to stick her bum out. I hope this isn’t a surprise for things to come!?

I’ve also registered another .com to access this site - I will reveal that when she arrives, and we officially tell everyone her name. It’ll be her first and middle name.com :) That’s all I’ll say. If you know it already, it will work! Anyway, I’m beat. Time to go to bed. For once, R isn’t kicking around at this time of night, surprising!

July 24th 2008 appointment -

32 days left? That’s it? Well, I’m close to be giving little R her 30 day eviction notice, soon! :)

So, Chuck and I went to the baby doctor today. I told her about the menstrual-like cramping I was having and she said that is pre-term labour! Also, I mentioned that I was having a bit of nausea associated with it, when I’d have these cramps. She said that I’ll probably be nauseated during labour too. I guess that’s payback for not having any morning sickness, eh? But, she checked and I’m not effaced, or dilated, and I should be okay by the time she gets back from her holidays next week. My next appointment is August 11th. I have to wait for the office to call me back about my next weeks appointment; it’s with another doctor so who knows when it’ll be! My blood pressure was 114/76, and R’s heart rate was 136. Also, the Dr. said that her head is engaged! So, she’s in the right position. Now we wait!

I went to visit a friend of mine, Cindy that I worked with at UPS store. She has a 3 year-old daughter. She gave us a lot of Jayde’s baby clothes! We filled up 6 reusable grocery bags full!!! I am so very thankful! We got an extra crib bumper, extra sheets, a baby monitor, a pack-and-play crib (Great for going to Grandpa’s, eh Dad? ;) ) which can be transformed into a bassinet for when we come over! Chuck’s mom is washing all of the clothes. We just need an extra dresser for all the clothes we just got! I’ve got clothes for her until she’s at least 2-3! Anyway, my supper is ready. I just wanted to update you all on what’s happening with me and Lil’ R. Currently, she’s twisting around and poking her little boney elbows into my gut. THANKS KID! :)

July 7th 2008 appointment -

On July 7th, was me and Chuck’s first wedding anniversary. Also, we went to see our Baby doctor. Everything is going great with the little one. My fundal height is 36cm’s, which is 3cm’s more than June. The baby’s heart rate was 146, and mine was 112/73. The baby’s head is down, which we knew.

Yesterday, the baby was doing the bum-shuffle over to the middle of my belly. I think her bum is directly in the middle, and she’s getting ready to drop soon!

Won’t be long now!! I’ve got 11 more days left to work, and then I am off for an entire 13 months - yes, 13! I am undecided whether or not to go back early, but that will be my decision when I know what’s going on, and develop a routine for her.

I can’t wait to tell everyone what her name is! :)
